An extremely versatile and food friendly wine. This blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah comes from the Cotes du Ventoux region of the Southern Rhone Valley of France. This has been a staple in my wine rack for years, its great for taking over to peoples houses for dinner, opening up when friends come over or when you just want a good red wine with dinner. Deep ruby purple in color accompanied by a lovely bouquet of black currants, black cherries, licorice, smoke and herbs. Deep and full bodied with velvety tannins, tangy acidity and long lasting finish. A great wine to enjoy now through 2012.
