One of the best values in single malt scotch whisky. The Aberlour Distillery is at the heart of Speyside, the country's premier whisky-making region. No fewer than half of Scotland's malt distilleries are located in Speyside, which is renowned for producing whiskies of subtle depth and elegance. Pure spring water for making the whisky is drawn from the Lour River, and the maturing spirit stored in the warehouse beneficially inhales the moist Speyside air. This particular single malt is doubled matured in both traditional whisky oak and used sherry oak casks. Lovely aromas of vanilla and baking spices lead into a palate that is soft, creamy and fruity with hints of berries. A wonderful single malt if you are looking to expand your horizons and trying to stay within your budget. $39/750ml
